Last night in Lyell there was a huge wind and rain storm, we could hear the wind coming over the forrested hills for a couple seconds before it brutally battered the tent... not much sleep, but we were grateful that the tent never took flight and kept us mostly dry. We stayed around camp until the drizzle stopped around 11:00... and then the sun came out for us as we set off up the highway. Lunched (and had a HUGE ice cream) with Thomas and Katya in Murchison before splitting ways. All afternoon we biked on wet roads with grey skies behind us, but magically we remained dry. When we arrived to the next campground, drizzle was starting again... but a sweet family from the UK invited us into their bus (fully rigged with a wood stove!?) for a glass of wine and a chat. Within an hour, the rain had stopped for us to cook our supper and have a quick bath in the river. Great day!

Running total: 865.9 km
