Bike Trip - Day 16: Charleston to Lyell via Westport

Today we did NOT get rained on!!!! The scenery through the Buller Gorge was spectacular, the wind was in our favour and the terrain was just rolling hills with very little traffic. Heavenly. Took an evening hike into the old Lyell graveyard, dating back to the late 1800s. The whole town has disappeared now... pretty weird to see mature trees growing through the graves. We shared our public campground with another touring couple from Germany- Thomas and Katya who are living off their bikes for an entire year- damn, they impressed us!
