Life in The 'Naki

It’s hard to believe we’ve been here 2 weeks already!

The boys are doing great- don’t seem to have noticed that we moved houses at all, which would suggest that the adjustment back to Canada should also be no problem. (Wishful thinking!!)

Our little cabin is delightful and Mike is enjoying his work with Eco-Innovations. We’ve always got a great view of Mt. Taranaki and have done some lovely hikes around the region.

Our friends Kate and Ray visited from Auckland this weekend so Mike took the chance to climb up to the summit, which did not disappoint with great views over the clouds all the way to the South Island.

The dial-up internet connection here is shared with several other people over at the main house so we don’t log on very often. The cell phone also died this week so we’re really getting a taste of rustic life, which suits us just fine.

It’s now less than a month until we return to Ontario… definitely a lot of things we’ll miss about New Zealand but it will be wonderful to see all the family and friends at home!
