Did we lick it?
Yeah, so its taken us a while to put up a blog post, but who can blame us... we're going on about 4-5hrs of sleep per day so that excuse is going to have to stand up on its own.
Jalen Manuka Fischer, aka J-dawg, was born at 7:58pm on February 1, 2007 at 2.32kg. His delivery was relatively straightforward and actually a very enjoyable experience for everyone! (some more than others). He was alert and taking in the sites and smells as soon as he popped out!
Bradley Rimu Fischer, aka B-Rad was resistant to the whole idea of passing through a 10cm birth canal and needed some assistance. With a wee bit of a manual rotation and tongs, Bradley was born at 9:04pm on February 1, 2007 at 2.66kg. Them dang tongs left a couple of marks on our big guy and he looked like quite the brawler when he came out.
They are a couple of beautiful little boys and we are delighted that they, and their mom, are healthy and happy. Cheryl was amazing for this whole pregancy, delivery and after. I don't know where she gets the energy from - 4hrs of sleep just don't cut it for me.

On the other hand... things got a touch complicated after the birth. A couple of days later, both our young lads developed jaundice. Bradley took about 8 days in and out of neo-nates and various incubators to get to a stage where we were finally disharged from the hospital! Wow!! Took forever and felt like forever too! We were home for a sweet two days when we were re-admitted with Bradley with the jaundice flairing up again. Needless to say, it is two weeks later now and we are knackered and extremely tired of the hospital. Let's just hope little Bradley has licked it this time.

Some enjoyable highlights so far: Due to our lack of nappy changing savvy, one of Jalen's first pee's was right into his own face... and we still really haven't learned from it. Also, for a while, we had Bradley in the incubator in his birthday suit. This resulted in significant mess and some rocked shits that sprayed all over the glass! And of course, when they are fully fed, content and happily taking in the sites of this world, they are the cutest little devils you have ever seen.
With respect to the bets!! Well, I think Cheryl nailed it, but neither of us is in the running for the prize. The follower up is...

I don't know how Cheryl does it. Those boys are killing me... and Cheryl even lets me sleep through half their squawking!
Soooo Great!!!
What's up with Mike getting the sleep? Hmmmmm, Cheryl better be getting some good food cooked for her!!!
As far as the peeing goes, I just heard that they make "pee pee Teepees" for boys! I though that was pretty hilarious!
